During Manaslu Larke Pass Trekking trekkers have to traverse alongside Budigandaki River for the most part of early trekking. Abundance of suspension bridges and hilly cloisters of multiethnic people have to be covered. Behold the gigantic hills on either side of the trail and relish jaw dropping scenery of waterfall coming from such hills. Trip is both challenging and alluring. Bus drive too is varied. Half of the trip is on black topped road i.e. up to Dhadingbeshi and from this place to Soti Khola is graveled. Initial phase of trekking in Manaslu region is full of people from Brahmin, Chhetris and Aryan communities. However, as altitude rises and we stroll through narrow gorges the wide Himalayan valley appears. Majority of people living in higher belt are of Tibetan origin. As days pass by the change in the forest outlook and houses patterns really differs. Normally the trail can’t be described as treacherous until the day we cross the Larke La Pass (5130 m).  After such hardship trekkers will be able to relish mountain vistas of Manaslu, Cheo, Himlung, Himchuli and others. On the other side of the pass trekkers will meet the Annapurna Circuit Trek route. Bus drive from either Shyange or Besisahar takes trekkers back to Kathmandu.

  • Day 01Arrival Airport representatives of Search Treks will receive you at Kathmandu Airport. You will be transferred to hotel in Thamel. Trip preparation will be done and introduction with trekking crew members will take place.
  • Day 02Kathmandu Sightseeing Today we will take you to UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE sites of Kathmandu. You will be escorted by license holder tour guide to places like Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Swyambhunath and Patan Durbar Square. If you want to visit Kathmandu Durbar Square you can stroll during evening.
  • Day 03Drive from Kathmandu to Sotikhola We will take the highway road trip of Kathmandu Dhadingbeshi Aarughat route to reach Soti Khola. The road up to Dhading beshi is black topped but from this place up to Soti Khola is graveled and the trip can be bumpy.
  • Day 04Sotikhola to MachhaKhola We will follow the trail accompanying glacial river Budigandaki. We will trek past various waterfalls and streams including some villages. Green lush forests and hilly landscape are the major features of this trekking junction.
  • Day 05MachhaKhola to Jagat Slowly the trail starts to traverse through Tibetan influence upper belt. Temperate forests starts to change into alpine forests belt. Trail is Nepalese flat surface, uphill and downhill walking. Chilled mountain air starts to breeze past us. Various suspension bridges and tranquil hamlets on the way really make you believe that you are in different world.
  • Day 06Jagat to Deng Trail is through the narrow valley alongside the river with two gigantic hills on either side. Trekkers can have distant view of mountains and green lush forests would be quintessential things to experience while walking.
  • Day 07Deng to Namrung From this place we will enter the Manaslu Conservation Area and things start to change in terms of altitude, weather and landscape. Very high mountains and waterfall from such height really gives an amazing sight to behold. We can observe people with different dialect and costumes more inclined towards Tibetan culture.
  • Day 08Namrung to Samagaun About 900 meters will be ascended on this day. Most spectacular hamlet of Manaslu region the Samagon is the final destination of this day. The gorgeous scenery of Mt. Manaslu is the major feature of Samagaon. Tranquility and serenity of nature are in abundance at Samagaon.
  • Day 09Acclimatization day at Samagaun The trail from this place is more high altitude places. Therefore, acclimatization is highly recommended. For the acclimatization we do half day hiking towards Birendra Lake. You can also choose to roam around village.
  • Day 10Samagaun to Samdo Green meadows perfectly suited for grazing of yaks and cattle are frequently met during this day’s trekking. View of Mt. Manaslu and other mountain vistas are spectacular throughout the trail. The village is last settlement and is one day’s walking from Tibet Border.
  • Day 11Samdo to Dharmasala The place used to be the most vibrant place during ancient times. A trading spot but nowadays place is very deserted. Most of the people have chosen another route for trading. We stay in Larke La Bazaar and prepare ourselves for challenging crossing of Larke La Pass tomorrow.
  • Day 12Dharma Sala to Bhimthang. 3720m (8/9 hrs) The most iconic and challenging day of our trekking is today. We cross this alluring Himalayan pass of Nepal situated at height of 5213m. Majestic views of Mt. Cheo, Mt. Himlung, Mt. Annapurna II, Mt. Manaslu and others are seen from the top of Larke la Pass. Once at the top we descend to Bhimtang. Heed the instructions of trekking guide during this treacherous junction of trekking in Manaslu region.
  • Day 13Bhimthang to Surkee Mild downhill trekking along the terraced farmlands and small villages takes trekkers to Surkee village. Massive forest of rhododendron is the major highlight of this day’s trekking.
  • Day 14Surkee to Tal Very gentle and comfortable as well as short trekking hours are enough for return trekking. Enjoy your return time as much as going because you will see lots of things so different and unique while returning.
  • Day 15Tal to Shyange The place is in the vicinity of Annapurna Region trekking in Nepal. If you wish to continue Annapurna Circuit Trek then you will reach Thorongla Pass from this place. The final night of trekking and you will be treated by company with local delicacies. Enjoy with your trekking crew members reliving the great trekking of Manaslu.
  • Day 16Shyange to Besisahar; Drive Back to Kathmandu Four wheeled jeep drive will take us to Besisahar via graveled road and from Besisahar we will take black topped highway to Kathmandu. In evening Search Treks & Expedition will host the farewell dinner.
